I don’t write a lot of list based ‘stacks. But I love reading them. This is kind of an ode to the ones I do love, the authors of which I have mentioned at the end for you to check out and likely adore.

There are no specifics to this list other than these things I like a lot being quite specific. Enjoy.

dinner by Pamela Hanson (whose work I will love my whole life)

1. How tables look when you leave them

2. Vintage cigarette holders

3. When my hair is up, the front bits that gradually frame my face as the day goes on

4. Answering machines (mostly seen in movies)

   

   The First Wives Club

5. Printing, framing and hanging up my own photos

6. Makeup that feels more like skincare¹

7. A pyjama set (I need new ones please leave recs)

8. Doing full out choreography to a pop song in my apartment for absolutely no one

9. Numerous little pouches that carry random but necessary things in my bag

11. Going to sleep excited for tomorrow morning’s coffee

12. Silver Ralph Lauren swing arm lamps

    

13. Wearing a new wardrobe addition asap for consecutive days

14. Good pens, current pick is the uniball air

15. Textured leather goods

    

16. Ballet buns on hair wash days

17. Notebooks full of lists, as proof of life

18. French pharmacy skincare

19. Remembering every now and then that I can play an instrument

20. Raspberry scented chalk cherubs from a village market in France

21. Multi-use products like balms, salves, sticks and liners

22. Listening to albums start to finish instead of playlists

23. Keeping dental floss in my bag

24. A Chanel compact

25. Dipping croissant in coffee

26. Living around the corner from your friends

27. Weekend 2-hour phone calls with long distance friends

28. Engraved money clips

29. Reading on public transport

30. That perfect period of time where my brows are starting to grow out after tweezing them

31. A long necklace down your back

32. When someone says a nice scent reminds them of you

33. The mysteriously magical gloss that comes with the Chanel lip duo³

34. Slightly pushing it with undone buttons on a big shirt

35. The part where Andy throws the bleeping phone into the fountain in The Devil Wears Prada

    

36. Wearing jewellery in the ocean

37. Flip flops & jeans (as recently written about by

    ), bonus points for a toe ring

38. The rare opportunity to saunter

39. Baguette with butter and tomatoes on holiday

40. Recognising that I look like my parents every now and then
