some Kind of Cool updates, very casual stuff

Just checking in. It’s a quick scroll with lots of pictures. “Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick?”. Some things you might have missed, or just simply chose to ignore.¹

• The Kind of Cool Substack chat is *finally* in use! It’s taken me a while to figure out what exactly it should be used for. Frankly, I still don’t know, so it’s for everything. If you want to ask questions, answer my questions to you, suggest posts you’d like to see or pretty much anything else you can do all that below. It’s like the family group chat but make it Kind of Cool. My one request is that you don’t use it to sell your random stuff for now.

• I went to London for the weekend a couple weeks back and I’ve been thinking about it since. ‘Twas perfect. Here are a few photos from the trip.

• I’ve been listening to the following:

  • are you my woman by The Chi-Lites, which is sampled in Beyoncé’s crazy in love, which is one of my all-time favourite music videos and an all-round incredible song.

  • troubled mind by Everything But The Girl

  • dedication to my ex (i miss that) by Lloyd feat. Andre 3000 & Lil’ Wayne, which is a song that guarantees a dance around the apartment and locking in to perform the rap part.

• I finished watching Ted Lasso and cried because I’ll miss just how nice it was to watch. I demand more uplifting viewing that is actually good.

• I wrote a new date-themed edition of The Dress Code last week. Remind me to never post at half past midnight ever again because it bizarrely got lost in my mum’s Substack app inbox. You can read it here if you like. It’s a mix of womenswear & menswear styling.
