While I love the two bag look, and frankly, the one shoulder bag look as well, I must say that this:
“You may have noticed I have neglected to speak further on the shoulder pain related risks of 2-bag lugging. You should know that this is just part of the experience and I will not speak on it further”
… Is extremely true. I fucked up my shoulder from years of carrying bags like this and have extreme nerve pain whenever I carry anything heavier than a couple of pounds now. I highly recommend that you NOT carry very heavy bags this way.

I have never had a comfortable time with one heavy bag, so I definitely don’t recommend two heavy bags. But if a separate teeny tiny bag is needed for only aesthetic purpose then this is an okay second bag option to maybe carry in one hand or something like that.

Yeah, wish I could warn my earlier self about heavy bags- it’s cross-body or knapsack style all the time now, with the occasional small bag as clutch or party purse.
I’d also have some cautionary words about shoes…but that’s another story.💕

Double bag is the only thing. Less heavy and you get to buy and actually wear the bags you like.
