Back in November I talked a bit about the discovery of what you actually like. While I didn’t give the clearest instructions of how, I did mention that I might explore some of my secret [pinterest] boards on here. And creating secret boards can be really helpful to discovering what it is you like. So six-ish months later, I’m sharing a glimpse of mine and how finding connections shows me what I actually like.
When you scroll through this, please note it’s full of intentional decision. I’ve been “joining the dots”, I guess, to build worlds and mood/colour stories for a long time. It’s cliché to say but enjoy the process because that’s the fun. The bigger picture of collected visuals is satisfying but never final. A love for endless discovery is probably why my point of view is now the way it is. And why I can then share it with you on this substack, much to your absolute glee I can only assume.
You’ll find each image’s connection to the next explained in the captions, and a little explanation with all credits after the scroll. Save anything that catches your eye, or decide outright that you hate it all, build your own board of blue, feel any way about it I really don’t mind. I would rather it evoked something than nothing at all.
